Torwood's own homemade Butter Me Up! Wood Butter is a super easy way to restore, protect and enhance the natural beauty of your wooden homewares.
This wood butter is easily applied and creates a durable, food-safe, water-resistant barrier, preventing drying, warping and cracking. It also prevents wood stains, fills knife marks, acts as an antimicrobial and restores the wood!
A key part of this product is the container, a glass jar, rather than a metal tin like many wood wax products. This allows the wax to be heated in the microwave prior to application, meaning it spreads easily and penetrates deeply into the wood. Just remember to remove the metal lid before microwaving!
Beeswax & Coconut Oil

How to use
It’s easy! Rub into wood with a soft cloth and leave overnight, then buff off any excess. Reapply whenever the wood starts to look dried-out.
For even better results, pre-oil with food-grade mineral oil before waxing to maximise penetration and sealing. Warming the wax for 30s in a microwave (remember to remove the metal lid!) aids with spreading and penetration. Multiple layers of wax can be applied to increase the durability of the finish.
Always use a clean cloth for applying to increase the lifespan of your product.
Storage
Store in a cool, dark location and ensure jar is closed tightly during periods of prolonged storage.
