The Pulley Airer

The Pulley Airer

From $250.00Sale Price

The Rimu Pulley Airer by Torwood features a modern, space-saving design made from reclaimed Rimu.

Available in three sizes, this practical and attractive drying rack suits any interior and is a game-changer when it comes to drying clothes, towels, bed sheets, wet jackets etc, while saving on clutter and space used by your typical clothes rack.

Each unit includes pulleys, hooks, a cleat, and 10 metres of sash cord for installation.

Handcrafted in the usual modern rustic style of Torwood, focussing on practicality and durability, enhancing your space with style and convenience.

Sizes:

Small 50x90cm - 5 Laths - sized to comfortably hang bath towels

Medium 55x100cm - 7 Laths - large enough for a medium load of washing

Large 70x110cm - 7 Laths - large enough for a full wash, bedding, jackets, towels etc.

(Dimensions may vary +/- 2cm)

The Rimu was originally used as flooring in an Ambulance Station, but was removed following a fire. Some boards were scorches and consequently have a darker tone, adding to their attractive colour, which is enhanced in this product by the use of a high-quality, water resistant and extremely durable hardwax oil finish.

If ordered for delivery by post, this will require some simple assembly: slotting the dowels into the ends and fixing 1 screw into pre-drilled holes in either end. Easy peasy!

These drying racks are made from reclaimed Rimu floorboards. As such, they may contain some evidence of their previous lives including small nail holes or minor marks. This is in the nature of the rustic style of the product and is not a defect.

The hanging racks are designed to hold the weight of wet clothes, towels, bed sheets etc. They can also hold pots, pans, utensils and hanging plants, but I recommend a maximum weight of 15kg. DO NOT hang from this.

The products offered by Torwood are handcrafted from natural materials, and variations in colour, grain, and texture are to be expected. The phrase 'wood moves' is well-known to woodworkers and is true for every single item made from solid wood. Changes in temperature and humidity cause wood to shrink and expand, which can, over time, cause cracks to appear or alter the shape of a piece. Care is taken during the design process to allow for natural wood movement, however, it is impossible to avoid completely. Any excessive movement resulting in significant problems with the function or appearance of an item will be considered for repair within 2 years of purchase. I'm always open to examining products after warranty and offer affordable repairs. Wear and tear is expected with regular use and I encourage sensible usage to avoid damage to products or personal injury. Please follow care instructions provided with your purchase to maintain quality and safety.
